Are you interested in the mysteries of our planet and beyond? As part of 24 hours of science, McGill Physics Outreach, TSI Outreach, and SMoRES (McGill Earth & Planetary Sciences Outreach) are joining forces to host “From Planets to Particles: An Exploration Mini-Fair”. Join us for hands-on activities and demos about everything from gravity, life on other planets, and building telescopes, to volcanoes, identifying earth and space rocks, and minerals! If you have a cool rock you'd like us to identify, bring it with you. We'll also set up the telescopes for some solar observing. Activities are geared towards kids ages 6 -12, but younger and older siblings (and parents!) are welcome.
Most activities will be delivered in English, but we will have volunteers who can answer questions in French. Written materials and instructions will be available in French as well.

Dans le cadre de 24 heures de science, McGill Physics Outreach, TSI Outreach et SMoRES (McGill Earth & Planetary Sciences Outreach) unissent leurs forces pour organiser « From Planets to Particles: An Exploration Mini-Fair ». Rejoignez-nous pour des activités pratiques et des démonstrations sur tout: la gravité, la vie sur d'autres planètes, la construction de télescopes, le codage, les volcans, les roches terrestres et spatiales, et les minéraux ! Si vous avez une roche préférée que vous aimeriez que nous identifions, apportez-la avec vous. Nous installerons également des télescopes pour quelques observations solaires. Les activités sont destinées aux enfants de 6 à 12 ans, mais les frères et sœurs plus jeunes et plus âgés (et les parents !) sont aussi bienvenus.
La plupart des activités seront livrées en anglais, mais nous aurons des bénévoles qui pourront répondre aux questions en français. Des documents écrits et des instructions seront également disponibles en français.
